Today we have a fun project for you, it's easy but NOT quick. This video is about making a quilt/throw from t-shirts.
If you're like me you probably have t-shirts stacked up. I get them from volunteer organizations I belong to, from events I participate in, or just fun shirts I've collected over the years. I don't wear most of them, but I hate to part with the memories these shirts bring to me. The answer, make them into a throw.
Last year I made two of these from the shirts / clothing of loved ones that passed away. We didn't want to just throw away or even donate some of the special items of clothing, so this was a great way to preserve those items (without keeping a closet full of clothes)
This project will probably take you several evenings, or a good weekend. I've made them in a day, in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend that (don't you hate last minute projects??)
For a 6' x 5' throw you'll need about 30 adult size t-shirts.
Have fun with this, and let me know how yours turn out!
